So Peggy (Molly Shannon) is a woman searching for L-O-V-E!! She is a lonely middle aged woman who passes her evenings spending time with her beloved dog, Pencil. Peggy is devastated after a tragedy takes the life of Pencil, so her co-workers start encouraging her to go out and replace her loss with a boyfriend. What ensues is a funny and often sad tale where Peggy searches for a place to put her love and the realization that maybe it doesn't have to be with another human after all.
The only thing we didn't like, is that this film made Peggy look like an actual crazy person. Peggy's love for animals made her do insane things that put other people in jeopardy of losing their job or even their lives! Yikes! The problem was that it wasn't really funny in the process, it actually made me feel sort of uncomfortable during her decent, and all the while i couldn't help bet feel that her extreme beliefs were being ridiculed and made fun of, which is opposite of the films message. All in all it was a good movie, it just seemed a little overboard at times, but still I think its worth seeing....
3/5 puppies.
